Thanks for the
following write up Corey! We had a great time and would
be happy to help out any time you need us.
On Friday June 13,
08 “Wasilla Splatter House” graciously hosted an
outstanding paintball tournament in support of the
Elmendorf AFB Arctic Warrior Olympics. This is an annual
event that encompasses a variety of events that
challenges Air Force members physically and encourages
Esprit De Corps. The day started out slow but once the
paint began to fly the adrenaline kicked in for the 74
participants who competed that day. This was a non
standard semi speedball/woodsball style tournament.
Players were encouraged to use the natural terrain and
man made bunkers to out maneuver and get the drop on
their opponents. The weather was perfect, and after a
short visit from the local bear family that lives in the
area, it was game on for a brutal triple over time show
down between the two best of the best teams for first
place. In the end 16 5-man-teams had battled it out in a
triple play tournament bracket for the top 4 positions
in order to earn points for their Units/Squadrons.
Points earned helped the teams Units/Squadrons to
compete for the coveted overall Arctic Warrior Olympics
Champion Trophy!
All of
the volunteers and staff would like to give our
sincerest thanks to the great folks at “Wasilla Splatter
House” for coming out to support our military family. We
enjoyed having you there with us and appreciate all you
did for us. We hope to see you again next year. Thanks
again!
